Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse



Monitor


Locate and select the appropriate monitor can help us avoid such as excessive fatigue, eye strain, and neck and back pain. ways to help improve your computer workstation :
  • viewing distance 
  • viewing angle-head and side-to-side
  • viewing time

Viewing Distance

monitor that is placed too far can lead to a number of factors such as eye strain, make you to sit an awkward position, causing you to have to bend down. monitor that is placed too close can also make your eyes work harder to focus and make your eyes more tired. so to avoid those things, take a comfortable distance from your seat, so you can read the writing on the computer easily, aided by the back of the chair so you will not bend. from where you sit to the screen, take approximately 50 cm to 100 cm.

                                        

Viewing angle-head and side-to-side

When movement of the neck and head are not balanced, as is more often to the right or left for long periods, can cause aches and pains. so the solution is, placed you computer directly in front of you, and do not put your monitor more than 35 degrees to the left or right.

                               

Viewing time

playing computer in the long term can make the eyes become tired and drought because when playing the computer, our eyes blink less frequently than usual. so what you can do is to rest your eyes periodically by focusing on objects that are farther away and blink at regular intervals to moisten the eyes.


                                              



Keyboard

you all must know that the keyboard is made up of the alphabet, numbers, and other signs. There are several factors that must be considered from the keyboard, such as:


  • keyboard placement - height
  • keyboard placement - distance
  • design and use

when keyboards are too low you may type with your wrists bent up, and when keyboards are too high, you may need to raise your shoulders to elevate your arms. Performing keying tasks in awkward postures such as these can result in hand, wrist, and shoulder discomfort. Elbows should be about the same height as the keyboard and hang comfortably to the side of the body. Shoulders should be relaxed, and wrists should not bend up or down or to either side during keyboard use.

solutions : Place the keyboard directly in front of you at a distance that allows your elbows to stay close to                     your body with your forearms approximately parallel with the floor.


Design and Use

when using the keyboard, you will often bend your wrist upward, to the right or to the left that makes your nerves tired. what you can do are to lowering or raising the keyboard to achieve a neutral wrist posture.


                            


Mouse

now you all know that mouse has a variety of shapes, sizes, and models. such as trackballs, joysticks, touch pads, and others. selection and proper placement of the mouse will be very influential to the wrist and fingers. The following factor that you should consider is the mouse placement.

mouse that placed away from the keyboard can make forceful hand exertions while using the devices, and in a long term, it may lead to musculoskeletal disorders. so you have to granted the mouse in place that allows your wrist is positioned on a flat. or you can use a keyboard that has a pointing keyboard such as touch pad or others.
